$2,000: Marquette Playground Equipment

Virginia Community Foundation Unrestricted Fund

This project was a collaborative effort between Marquette Catholic School, Holy Spirit Church, the City of Virginia, and several local businesses.  Local businesses were used whenever possible and several contributed in-kind services or materials.  The entire project has been organized and implemented by local volunteers, saving an estimated $15,000 on services.  Also, all of the money raised for the project has come from local benefactors who believe in the community and mission of Marquette School.
