COVID-19 Update

The Virginia Community Foundation is taking important steps at a time when all of us are concerned about coronavirus and the COVID-19 illness.

First and most important, we want to do our part to protect your health and safety, as well as that of our entire community. As a result, the foundation will work remotely for the foreseeable future.

Technology allows us to perform most functions remotely. While we know this will be a change in some ways, we also know everyone wants to stay safe by not venturing out unnecessarily.

Our grant cycle was postponed until our April board meeting due to the monthly board meeting being postponed. We also want to let our grantees know that as coronavirus impacts your operations, we will work together with the terms of your grant agreements.

All of us are concerned about the well-being of our community and the challenges our nation faces because of coronavirus and COVID-19. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue supporting the charities in whose missions you believe. Many of these organizations will be challenged by increased costs and services as well as reduced fundraising opportunities. You can always continue to make donation on our website at www.virginiafoundation.com –GIVE NOW.
