Eligibility Guidelines

In order to be considered for a grant from the Virginia Community Foundation Unrestricted Endowment, an organization and/or project must:

1. Benefit the greater Virginia, Minnesota community (ISD 706 district boundaries); and
2. Be a non-profit 501(c)3 organization or provide documentation that the organization is sponsored by a fiscal agent that has 501(c)3 status.

The Virginia Community Foundation does not fund:

• individual persons or private foundations;
• political campaigns or political organizations;
• for-profit organizations;
• scholarships or research;
• religious organizations or religious purposes;
• endowments;
• fundraising campaigns, dinners, parties, ticket sales, or similar activities; nor
• traditional government services or dollar-for-dollar replacement of public funding.
