The program takes less than one hour and is an informative look at the foundation's history, the impact on our community and our goals for the future. We Believe Fundraising Luncheon The foundation recently held the 3rd Annual We Believe Fundraising Luncheon. Special thanks go out to the Table Captains for inviting their friends, family and collegues to join them. A We Believe Fundraising Breakfast will be held Friday, July 6th at the Bay View Lodge on Lake Vermilion. Blue Pride Fund Dance The 2007 fall kick-off dance for the Blue Pride Fund will be held on Friday, September 14th at the Virginia Elks Lodge at 220 N 5th Avenue. This popular evening includes a dance and the Blue Pride Fund All Cash Raffle.

Foundation Hosted Twin Cities Connection with Choir The award-winning Virginia High School A Cappella Choir, under the direction of Casey Lankow, Conductor, toured in the Minneapolis area from April 7-10, 2006. Alumni and friends were invited to the concert on Saturday, April 8th at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. The performance was followed by a reception at the church. The gathering was an opportunity for alumni and friends to celebrate the excellence of our choir and reconnect with other Virginia High School alumni. All choir alumni were encouraged to "Celebrate the Tradition" at the VHS Choral Music Department's December 17, 2006 concert at 2:30 pm in Goodman Auditorium. |

Virginia Community Foundation Golf Tournament We are very grateful to the 2006 Major Sponsor, Iron Range Rehabilitation Center, our Event Sponor, North Country Heating, Cooling & Refrigeration, and our Dinner Sponsor, Norri Distributing. Proceeds from this tournament exceeded $10,000 and were doubled with a match from a generous donor! |
