The mission of the Blue Pride Fund is to help maintain and support co-curricular activities, as defined by the Minnesota State High School League, at the Virginia High School. The formation of this fund is in response to reductions in funding. Blue Pride funds will be held on deposit with the Virginia Community Foundation. Blue Pride organizers are optimistic that many Virginia High School alumni and community members have "Blue Pride" and will make contributions so student-participants can continue to experience the benefits of co-curricular activities. Seventy percent of each contribution to the Blue Pride Fund will go directly into the permanent endowment fund, where only investment returns are used to sustain activities. The remaining thirty percent of each gift will be disbursed to meet current funding needs and expand fund development. Since inception, more than $30,000 has been awarded for high school league activities!
